The safest way to hook a vehicle.

Bakpul Hitch Model R

A handy tool for many situations.

Why You want this hitch

I am the owner of a small one truck towing company, DB Towing LLC, and have been for the past 25 years. A problem that I have encountered numerous times was hooking trucks, vans, or SUVs with rear-end and suspension damage or missing wheels to the wheel lift. Also dually’s and trucks with wide tire combos that don’t fit in the L arms can also be a pain. Chain slinging from the frame or short chaining the rear-end while laying on the ground was the only option, really not good for an older person with bad knees and back. They were a pain in more than one way. Even after achieving a good safe hook, Most just felt like a good example of jury rigging. This is what led me to develop the Bakpul Hitch.

Using the receiver, which is tied directly to the chassis for the tow point has resolved my issues and led to some unexpected benefits. I have found this Hitch to be the simplest quickest and most of all safest way to tow any vehicle that has a receiver hitch. The simple and quick are self-explanatory as it’s basically the same process as hooking up a trailer. Now the safety comes in a couple of forms, “personal safety” If for any reason you have to get under the casualty, hooking chains or tying up loose parts, It is definitely safer with the mechanical connection of receiver and Hitch connecting the casualty to your truck. The next safety issue is “Your tow truck” I’m sure being in this industry that you fully understand the effects of leverage. By being the only tool on the market that allows you to run fully retracted when towing, the weight distribution is at It’s absolute best. This means that you will have less weight on your drive axle and the maximum weight on your steering axle. This will firmly plant your front tires for much better steering and braking which, without a doubt makes this a safer tow.

Now, keeping the wheel lift more retracted also allows you to use your wheel lift up to its retracted weight rating limit. This helps, especially for work trucks and box vans.. The ride of your truck will also be greatly improved by not having the suspension bounce and rebound of the casualty. This leads to less wear and tear on your equipment, especially your rams. It has the same feel and smoothness like pulling a trailer.

This is just another tool in your arsenal that comes in handy for many situations along the same lines as a good set of forks. It is not meant to replace the wheel lift, but to complement it. One thing I can promise is that you will find to be a handy tool!

We got your back!
